Supporters of Christian Rescue Committee

Dear Ones:

Because of your support this past year, Christian Rescue Committee has been able to:

Impress the plight of Southern Sudanese Christians upon the president of Sudan.

Help the brutalized Christians of Sharqpur, Pakistan, where men were macheted, women raped, their church fire bombed, and where the local hospital refused to treat the wounded.

Provide airfare for Ethiopian Jews fleeing Muslim persecution.

Provide Christian school “scholarships” for some of the last remaining Christian children in Bethlehem. (If they attend the Palestinian schools, they are taught a culture of hatred and death.)

These are perilous times for people of faith. Even moderate Muslims are not exempt. In Sharqpur, Pakistan, for example, where a Muslim mob brutally attacked Christian villagers, a moderate Muslim neighbor opened his home, saving the lives of Christian women and children. Ann Buwalda, of Jubilee Campaign, USA, reports that this admirable Muslim protector “has now become a target of the savage assailants, and is in desperate need of protection for himself and his family.” As you pray for grace for Christians and Jews around the world, remember this “good Samaritan” who happens to be a Muslim.

In this season of Thanksgiving, we thank God for all of you who make this Rescue Committee possible.
